Et c'est le grand départ! Nous quittons notre super hôtel après une super nuit et un super déjeuner au Super 8 pour nous rendre à... Nanaimo. Nous continuons sur la transcanada highway, prenons la piste cyclable Gooseburn pendant quelques km et retournons sur l'autoroute 1 non sans avoir fait un bref détour inutile.
Le temps est gris et pluvieux. Il fait environ 8-9 degrés. C'est confortable malgré la pluie.
Nous arrêtons en chemin à Mill Bay pour manger au Tim Hortons.
Il y a beaucoup de trafic sur la route et ça roule vite. Un peu trop pour nous.
Nous campons au camping Living Forest juste avant Nanaimo. Très chouette camping à 23$ la nuit hors saison. Heureusement qu'il y a un abri pour cuisiner, car on est déjà trempés.

Here ya go! Officially first day of many to come! After an other night at the super 8 hotel in Victoria and pounding rain all night, we start our trip north to nanaimo on the trans Canada hwy(it's kinda the road we will follow for a while). Short stop at a Tim Hortons after descending from the malahat pass, you have to understand that we just spent a couple of weeks in Hawaii so we have some catching up to do with the Tim Hortons coffee. After riding in the rain we got to the living forest campground in nanaimo.
It's raining tonight and I'm sure it will be for a while! (I know because I'm writing this on April 23th)
